Privacy

Reefpirate Games is one person making games. This site is a few static files. There is no account to make, no newsletter, and no form to fill in, so there is nothing here that asks you who you are.
Counting visits, without cookies
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and measures how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you between sites or build any profile of you. It records the page, the referring page, and general details like your country, browser and device type. There is no identifier tying one visit to another, so there is nothing here that could be traced back to you, which is why it runs without asking. Their privacy summary covers the detail.
Analytics, only if you say yes
This site can use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It is off until you allow it. If you choose "No thanks", or if you never answer, nothing is loaded from Google at all: no script, no cookies, no request.
If you do allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your approximate location, the pages you view, and general details about your browser and device. Your IP address is anonymised before it is stored. That data goes to Google, who process it on our behalf, and it is used for nothing except seeing whether anyone is finding the site. It is never sold, and there is no advertising here.
You can change your mind whenever you like, using the cookie choice link at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing was. Your answer is kept in your own browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, because setting a cookie to record that you did not want cookies would be a strange way to behave.
Things this site loads from elsewhere
- Google Fonts serves the typeface. Loading it tells Google your IP address, as fetching any file from any server does.
- itch.io provides the store panel and the playable build of the game, both shown in frames. The game frame loads nothing until you press play. Anything you do inside those frames is between you and itch.io, under their privacy policy.
- YouTube shows the trailer, in a frame that loads nothing at all until you press play. From then on it is YouTube, under Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts and serves the site, and handles the request logs that any web server keeps.
The game itself
Full-Metal Tapped keeps your saves, settings and run history in your own browser or on your own machine, not on a server. It does send anonymous gameplay telemetry, such as how a run ended, which is what the balance gets tuned against. It is tied to a random install id and not to you.
Your rights, and asking about them
If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to withdraw consent at any time. In practice, refusing analytics means there is nothing held about you at all.
Questions, or a request about your data, go to Bluesky or the Discord.
