Full-Metal Tapped · patch notes
v0.8.19
29 Sep 2026
This one is a quick update, mainly focussed on making the mechanics of the game more transparent. The street deals its jobs and events from real decks, and now you can see them, count them and read how they work.
Here's the patch notes:

- The Help Docs have been rewritten and now read like a board game's rulebook: 7 chapters, a page that scrolls, bigger text, and live cards and runners beside the rules that show their real tooltips
- A new "How the Street Deals" section explains the decks, the discard and reshuffle, and how often each tier of job turns up, with a diagram of the deal
- Every number in the Help Docs is read from the game itself, and the ? button is gone from the top of the board (the Help Docs are in the pause menu)

- A new 'Decks' icon at the top right shows every deck when you hover it: the cards left, in play and in the discard, and the exact chance the next card comes from each one
- Legwork and The Broker's job picks now show the deck the jobs came from: the cards left, in play and in its discard
Some other changes:
- SAVE DATA and LOAD DATA in Settings let you move all your game data between the browser version, the desktop app and another computer
- Tier 1 jobs are a bit less deadly: a PASS deals at most 1 wound instead of 2, and a FAIL at most 3 instead of 4
- The first time you commit a crew to a job with a red skull, commit asks you to confirm
- Legwork and The Broker let you reroll twice instead of once, and skips on Missions are gone (the benefits weren't obvious for having it, and with improved SCRY and rerolls at Legwork and Broker there are plenty of other better 'digging' options)
- Clearer cards: a bonus tag on a mission's REQ row has no box (only the MIN is boxed), events that wound random runners show how much HP each one loses, and the LOG's ODDS row lights the result that came up
- Runners now have a gender, so their names and death screams match (and setting up future portraits to match as well)
- Fixes: Fence the Take works under the Pub's hire window mid-turn, and Create Diversion's tooltip says it only cuts the Heat of missions that resolve that turn
Thanks again as always for playing!
